Team Ireland - Transplant & Dialysis Sports

About

Team Ireland - Transplant & Dialysis Sports follows a group of athletes who will participate in the upcoming European Transplant and Dialysis Games to be held in Oxford UK from Sunday August 21st to 28th 2022.

Transplant Sport actively promotes the importance of more people telling their family and friends they wish to donate, so that families do not refuse to give consent because of a lack of knowledge. It demonstrates powerfully that organ donation works and each athlete is deeply grateful for the gift of life – none more so than the Irish athletes who will take part in the ETDG in Oxford in August.

Team Ireland’s sporting success is a huge personal achievement for each athlete whilst at the same time it showcases the success of organ donation and transplantation whilst offering inspiration to those who are newly transplanted or newly diagnosed with organ failure.

Team Ireland athletes have faced adversity head on and now value the most precious gift of all – life. The Team has one simple request to everyone - to please consider carrying an Organ Donor Card and
